The religion of a character in Crusader Kings 2 can, like the religion of a province, also be changed very easily. Changing the religion of a character is done with the religion Character ID Religion ID command. To use this command, you must: Replace Religion ID with the ID of the religion to wish to change the character's to. One way that works 100% is to swear fealty to a higher ranked lord that has the religion you want to convert to. You can than choose the decision to convert to his religion. You can also change your culture to his this way. On the downside, you lose 500 prestige points and your independence, at least for some time.
With over a million copies sold, Crusader Kings II is arguably one of the most successful titles from Paradox. Even though the game has a Linux and an OS X version, Crusader Kings 2 Cheat Engine hacks are more interested in the Microsoft Windows build since this is where the majority of the Cheat Engine tables thrive.
Since Crusader Kings 2 is a single player game, you don’t really have to worry about bans or anything when implementing any kind of cheats and hacks.
The first step would be grabbing your copy of Cheat Engine and familiarizing yourself with how the open cheat engine works. You will find our introductory guide to the engine quite useful.
Once you have the Cheat Engine up and running, launch your game and use the ALT+TAB command to bring up Cheat Engine. Go ahead and select the game’s .exe and load a specific cheat table to activate the cheat table effects.
Crusader Kings 2 Cheat Engine Features
Note that all the features in this cheat engine are inactive by default. To activate them, you will have to activate the accompanying scripts. Since the scripts use CE command assert, you will have issues if you run the table on the wrong game version or when you use the wrong CE. (its compatible with cheat engine 6.7 and above)

A big part of Europa Universalis IV is the religion game mechanic. There are over 50 religions in the game, thankfully there are many console commands that you can use to change and modify the religions of countries, states and provinces easily. This guide shows you how to:
- Add Authority (to patriachs)
This guide assumes you know how to open and use the console in EU4, if you need help opening or using the console, see this page. Here are some links to pages that might come in handy when reading this guide:
How to Change the Religion of a Province with Cheats
To change the religion of a province, you must use the change religion command. This command's syntax is as follows:
change_religion [Province ID] [Religion ID]
You'll need to replace [Province ID] with the ID of the province you wish to change the religion of. A province ID is simply a unique number that's assigned to each province in the game, Stockholm's is 1, Berlin's is 50, etc. To find out the ID of a particular province, search our province ID list.
The [Religion ID] field needs to be replaced with the ID of the religion you wish to change the province to. A religion ID is a short code that is unique to every religion, you can usually guess them - the Catholic religion's code is 'catholic', but some are impossible to guess, like the Slavic religion, which is 'slavic_pagan_reformed'. Guessable or not, you can find all religion codes on our religion code list.
Say you wanted to change the religion of London to Jewish. London has a province ID of '236', and Judaism has a religion code of 'jewish', the command would look like this:
change_religion 236 jewish
That's all there is to changing the religion of a province.
How to Change the Religion of States with Cheats
In Europa Universalis IV, there is no simple way to change the religion of a state. However, it is possible to do quickly with cheats by starting a religious rebellion.
To start a religious rebellion within a state, you will need to change the religion of 75% of the provinces within the state to your desired religion. You can do that with the change religion command, which is explained above (change province religion). Find the IDs of provinces on our province ID list.
After making sure that 75% of the provinces within the state are of the religion you wish to switch to, you will need to wait for a religious rebellion to start. You can speed up the time it takes for a religious rebellion to start by reducing autonomy within each of the provinces using the add/remove autonomy command.
How to Change a Nation's Religion with Cheats
Changing the religion of a country is easy with cheats. It's done using the same command as you would use to change a province's religion - the change_religion command. Here's the syntax:
change_religion [Country Tag] [Religion ID]
Ck2 How To Change Religion
You'll need to replace [Country Tag] with the country tag of the country you wish to change the religion of. Usually they're quite straight-forward, for example, Germany's country tag is GER, France's country tag is FRA, etc. Although most country tags can be guessed, some aren't - Wales' is WLS and Jeruasalem's is KOJ. If you aren't sure what a country's country tag is - see our country tag list, which has a neat search feature.
The [Religion ID] field needs to be replaced with the ID of the religion you wish to change the province to. Guessable or not, you can find all religion codes on our religion code list.
If you wanted to change the religion of Wales (country tag 'WLS') to Iconoclast (religion code 'iconoclast'), you'd use the following command:
Cached
change_religion WLS iconoclast
Adding Religious Authority
You can add patriach authority to your country with the add_pa command. This command adds 10% patriach authority to a country - you can't change the amount that is added unfortunately.
Ck2 How To Change Religion Console
All you need to do is type 'add_pa' (without quotes) and the country tag of the country you wish to add religious authority to, separated by a space. The country tag of England is ENG. To add 10% patriach authority to England, you'd type:
add_pa ENG
