Namco Bandai announced today that Tekken 6 is getting an update next week that will enable online co-op play and tweak wooden fighting dummy character Mokujin's AI.

The 'co-op' play was previously only available offline with an AI partner in the Scenario Campaign mode. The update -- expected to hit Xbox Live and PlayStation Network January 18 -- makes the mode playable for two online with the option of voice chat.

The Mokujin tweak applies to online versus mode. Previously, the wooden dummy wasn't switching up his fighting styles nearly enough to stay true to the character's 'Mokujin-Ken' copycat skill. The fix will force Mokujin to change his style every round.

complete on TEKKEN 6. The sixth King of Iron Fist Tournament is coming
to the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and
PlayStation3 on 30th October in standard retail, Arcade Stick and
Limited editions, packed with new on and offline gameplay features and
the biggest character line up ever. In selected territories an
exclusive TEKKEN 6 PlayStation3 hardware bundle will also be
available.

reveals the full extent of the game’s online gameplay features. With
